You can find us under the sun hiking, camping,snowshoeing,cross-country skiing excursions near and far, with a focus on leaving no trace of litter on our lands! We also do some indoor sporting events like bowling, skating, rock climbing. We also volunteer to help build trails and keep our open spaces free of litter and illegal dump sites.
This group is geared toward adults who are in any type of relationship (single, a couple, married, with or with out kids or pets) who would like to meet others in the Carson City and surrounding areas (Tahoe, Incline Village, Reno, Gardnerville, Minden, Sparks, etc) to build new friendships and enjoy various activities. Out-of-Towner's visiting the area or those who are farther away (Sacramento, Placerville, Fernley, Fallon, etc) are always welcome to join as well.
Here's a few simple requirements: know your physical abilities/limits, be mature, respectful, and have a good attitude. Most outings are for adults only, but on occasion there may be activities that are kid and/or dog friendly. This will be clearly specified.
Activities include, but are never limited to: outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, road biking, kayaking, rock climbing, tennis, running, night life: movies, dinning out, shows, concerts, shooting pool, other activities: cooking, gardening, bowling, ping pong, photography, travel.
The idea is to get outside, meet new people, and do something you enjoy or try something new.

This group offers trails that don't need hiking poles. Bring your water bottles,the areas are pet friendly in most cases, don't forget your poopie bags.
This group was designed for people who want to be active, get outdoors, and get your adventurous side piqued. We do this through hiking and discovering nature trail walks. This group IN NOT lung busting, calf burning hiking into the night. This is not an an aggresive group. We are more the simple easy and moderate range in hiking. Simple and Moderate are great terms we will be using alot.
With the use of ankle weights, your moderate hike could turn into a calorie burning inferno. In other words: you get to control at what level you want to achieve your endurance and speed. This group will always have two levels of hikes within the same meet up group, one for very introductory level and one for the more moderate level.
Some of our walker/ hikers can be recognized by: a person who is considered a walk aholic , a person looking to meet new people, someone who JUST moved into town and wants to learn about our area, a mother of 4, a single dad, a person who just got a hip replacement and needs excercize, a couple of college students, a doctor doing his internship, a couple of single middle aged persons, so in other words a very diverse group.
Our common ground is walking and talking and enjoying the camaraderie between us. Not every walk/hike is for every person. However there is always something new to learn, every single outting.
Come one, come all, put on your shoes, sun screen, water bottles, hat, gloves, a smile to enhance the face, and lets get moving!

This group is for skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels to meet others who love to ski or ride. Our common interest is a passion for sking or boarding and our goal is simple to get out on the snow and have FUN!
During the season we'll hold monthly meetings (mixers/happy hours), organize day & weekend trips, car-pool, etc. (and occasionally, a few trips out of the area; like Colorado, Whistler, etc). Looking to create a group of backpackers in Reno who enjoy

Our Mission: The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno's Mission is to promote safe, non-competitive, recreational bicycle riding and healthy lifestyles in a fun, social atmosphere.
Procrastinating Pedalers primary goal for this Meetup Group site is to allow Procrastinating Pedalers Ride Leaders the ability to schedule rides, and for Members to see the schedule and plan ahead for it. Rather than wasting time hanging out in a bar or going on uncomfortable blind dates, we give single professionals the ability to meet up to twelve eligible singles with, 6-minute "PreDates" -- all in one fun evening. Speed dating parties are held at local upscale restaurants.
Guests register online and then check in the night of the party and receive numbered nametags, special scorecards and seat assignments at one of many tables for two. After some refreshments and mingling, party hosts get the dating started by ringing a bell. After each six-minute date, couples mark their scorecards with a "YES" or "NO", noting whom they would like to hear from again. Bunco is a social dice game involving 100% luck and no skill (there are no decisions to be made), scoring and a simple set of rules. You do not need to be an experienced BUNCO player to join or even to play....this fabulous game takes seconds to learn, or you can just simply start playing and fit in easily within seconds. The only skill required in this light-hearted, friendly game is rolling the dice. It is so much fun to yell out when "Bunco" is rolled!
Everyone brings $11 in cash to play. $10 goes into the BUNCO prize bin, which is divvied up before the game starts for the winners and $1 goes toward membership dues. 3 People will go home every time with a cash prize. Based on 12 players, Person with the most wins, takes home at least $60, person with the most Bunco's takes home $50 and the person with the most losses get's their $10 back. These amounts will go up of course if we have larger groups.
Each event is a POTLUCK DINNER so bring a dish to share.

BUNCO MOMS!
Some of our moms had bridge. Today's we have a dice game called bunco. Sometimes referred to as the "housewife's drinking game," it's a ritual in a neighborhood that begins with a dozen women of all ages weathering the storm of child-rearing and/or their jobs who have gathered around a kitchen island over seven-layer dip. On a good night, it ends with a cash prize. One night a month, pack a bottle of wine and a $5 bill, and take yourself to a friend's house for bunco night.
So if you enjoy Bunco, this is a group for not only playing the game, but also for socializing and general fun! We take the game seriously (please don't RSVP then be a no show - more about that later) but the focus is to meet new friends and have FUN!
This group is for women who want to participate most of the time. We will also be looking for ladies for the sub list. Even if you are on the sub list you are welcome to attend just to chit-chat:)

Welcome! The Tahoe-Sierra Standup Paddleboard Club was established for those who love to be active and love the water.
Standup paddle surfing is derived from its Polynesian roots. The Hawaiian translation is Ku Hoe He'e Nalu; to stand, to paddle, to surf, a wave. In standup paddleboarding (SUP), one can paddle on the open ocean, in harbors, on lakes, rivers or any large body of water. In the Tahoe and Sierra areas we are fortunate to have access to all of these water bodies.
This group will meet for a variety of paddles: recreation, touring, fitness training, and trips. Standard paddling locations are Lake Tahoe, Topaz Lake, Silver Lake, and Donner Lake. We also travel throughout the region for special trips to Mono Lake, Folsom Lake, the American River, Shasta Lake, the San Francisco Bay and Santa Cruz, to name a few.
During the peak summer season the club meets one a week in the evening and twice a month on weekends. In the winter the club meets as weather permits.

418 Lodge is a chartered body of Ordo Templi Orientis located in the valley of Sacramento, California. We are a community of men and women united in our pursuit of the knowledge and accomplishment of our "True Will", defined as the one perfect and unique path for each individual. To this end, we regularly celebrate the Gnostic Mass, our central public ritual, and conduct initiations into the various degrees of the Ordo Templi Orientis. We also sponsor classes and other opportunities for learning and fellowship among the initiates.
U.S. Grand Lodge has asked local bodies to begin outreach to nearby areas currently without an O.T.O. presence. Accordingly, 418 Lodge is beginning to offer a few events in Reno, Nevada (about two hour's drive to the east).
Reno events will for the time being consist of lectures and discussions; it would require a lot of work to transport our Mass equipment over Donner Pass! Also due to the Pass, 418 Lodge will not be visiting Reno during the winter months, when travel becomes difficult. The difficulty of winter travel over Donner Pass is exactly why we hope that Reno will eventually develop its own O.T.O. body to serve the needs of Thelemites and other like-minded people otherwise isolated by the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Our goal is to assist with simple techniques and organizing tips to create your desired look for your apartment or home. Each week or scheduled meetups will be a theme that was either requested or designed to give our members a insight to making their space a design creation. As a new single mum in the Incline Village/Tahoe area, I am really keen to make it super easy and fun to meet other parents and kids for no hassle fun playdates. Hoping this is an easy way for us all to put up ideas or invitations. The more you participate, the more fun for everyone.

I am a degreed paralegal as I have been for the past 8 years. I have been doing bankruptcy since 2005, I am now a junior in college, a community advocate, I love volunteering, cooking, camping and the occasional meetup for entrepreneurs. I am trying to finish my degree so I can go to the law school in Vegas, and become an attorney in northern Nevada, so I can better help the community.
In the spring of 2011, I was offered a job in San Diego to work as a "processor" for an "attorney services" establishment. I left after 3 weeks when it came to my attention that the establishment is was working for was fraudulent and basically robbing the community masquerading as a law office offering bankruptcy relief. I was outraged and I saw the desperation in the eyes of the public. They knew no better and trusted those rats.
My mission, vision, or focus, is to creating a network of well-informed advocates within my community of Northern Nevada and in an effort to try to prevent our hard-working Americans from being railroaded by crocks and criminals, which of whom are charging an unreasonable amount of money ($600 - $2,500 )for fraudulent and ill-informed information and beliefs, from non-attorneys, non-paralegals, individuals, they are just money-hungry crooks!
I am currently filing out my 501(3)c to submit to the IRS. Once I am a non-profit I can start treating the organization as a separate entity. All information about the circumstance of attendees will remain Anonymous private
I will be providing free information contained within The Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, & Nevada Revised Statues 21.090 inclusive, and the public can use their discretion amongst themselves and decide what is best for their families when meeting anyone that is offering "bankruptcy services", in any nature.
This event will be free and open to the public. I am currently looking for a better environment than a Denny's, such as a library, school or private office.
I will be having guest speaker,such as a realtor, attorney, collections rep., tax preparer, and appraiser, just to mention a few.
